April Blog: The Perspective
Mental Health Awareness Month Upcoming Events
As April is coming to a close, we are looking forward to the spring months. And it just so happens that May is Mental Health Awareness Month where we are coming together as a community to show support to others. There are multiple organizations around Eau Claire that are participating in Mental Health Awareness Month by providing events and get togethers for the community.
First, the Occupational Champlains of America (OCA) is hosting a community event in Eau Claire for Mental Health Awareness Month. This event will take place on Saturday, May 14th from 9:30 – 11:30 am at the Walking Bridges in Phoenix Park. They are still looking for volunteers to help with the event so if you are interested in helping out please contact oca.neal@gmail.com.
Secondly, the University of Wisconsin – Madison Extension group and Mental Health Action team are hosting a wellness game online via https://tinyurl.com/2p85trud. The bingo cards can be found via that link for the game! However, if you cannot access the url, bingo cards can also be picked up at the Extension on 227 1st Street W., Altoona WI 54720. All results will be needed back by May 31st so that you can be entered to win a prize at the end of the month!
