Graduating Healthcare Workers Advantage in Wisconsin
This year, healthcare graduates are seeing more opportunities for job placement and growth amidst economic conditions. Because of the pandemic, the news has covered all of the ups and downs of being a healthcare worker in our environment throughout the course of the past two years. However, the new graduates are eager to get started and to help out their community.
There is an abundance of jobs available for graduating healthcare professionals, and most of these jobs are guaranteed due to the shrinking nursing workforce.
Over the course of the pandemic, the Wisconsin Hospital Association reported that the state’s current nursing shortage had reached vacant rates of over two times the amount in 2021. In addition to this, turnover rates have doubled. With the increase of retired individuals needing care in Wisconsin’s aging population, the need for nurses continues to rise.
