With the midterm elections coming up, the primary election was held this past Tuesday, August 9th to narrow down the candidates for the Fall General Election coming up on Tuesday, November 7th. Several primaries were needed for races closer to home including U.S House District 3, State Senate District 23, and State Assembly Districts 68 and 92 along with Eau Claire County Sheriff. Voter Turnout for Eau Claire County was about 23.9% of eligible voters, with the state voter turnout around 26% which is the highest since 1982. Below are the results of the U.S. House, State Legislature, and Local Primaries. Uncontested races are not included. * Indicates incumbents.
