Spring Election Results and Voter Turnout

Voter turnout this spring set a record in Wisconsin. In 2020, a year with a presidential primary, 1.6 million people cast ballots in the state of Wisconsin, while this year more then 1.7 million people cast ballots. Eau Claire County had 38.6% of eligible voters turnout. Of the 77 voting wards in Eau Claire Ward 20, which includes UWEC residence halls, had the highest number of ballots cast. There were 883 votes cast in Ward 20. Last years spring election saw a total of 76 votes in Ward 20. The ward with the 2nd highest number of votes was 518 in ward 11.
Spring elections are largely non-partisan, however liberals saw a victory in the Supreme Court race.
There were also multiple referedum questions with some mixed results.
