Eau Claire City Council Spring Election Information 2024
The Eau Claire City Council has the positions of the 5 Aldermanic Districts up for election Spring 2024 for three-year terms.
The Eau Claire City Council includes 11 members who each serve a three-year term, including 5 elected by district, 5 elected at large, and 1 elected City Council President. Each official elected by district represents about 13,509 people, and the City Council President represents about 69,421 people (or the whole City of Eau Claire). The next election for the at-large members will by April 2025 and the City Council President will be up again in 2026. The City Council makes legislative decisions, determines community needs, and makes decisions about budgeting.
The districts were last modified in 2022, after the 2020 Census, to ensure equal representation.

Although the Chamber is active in policy issues, it is non-partisan and does not endorse political candidates.
