The Eau Claire Chamber of Commerce aims to be a Catalyst for business growth, a Convener of visionaries and influencers who make things happen, and a Champion for a stronger community. We are proud to have been part of the Eau Claire community for more than 110 years, representing businesses and organizations and, most importantly, the over 50,000 workers in the Eau Claire area.
The Chamber’s goals and objectives are carried out through numerous committees and task forces. It is with the help of many committees and volunteers that the Chamber can fulfill its mission.
The Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce serves as a pivotal organization dedicated to fostering a robust local economy and advocating for the business community in the Eau Claire region. Its primary functions include:
Advocacy: The Chamber actively monitors and influences public policy at local, state, and federal levels to ensure a favorable business environment. This involves maintaining a Business Issues Agenda, organizing events like policy breakfasts and town halls, and facilitating direct connections between members and policymakers.
Education: Through programs such as Leadership Eau Claire™ and Youth Leadership Eau Claire, the Chamber develops and educates current and future leaders. These initiatives provide participants with community insights, leadership skills, and opportunities for civic engagement.
Investor Engagement: The Chamber offers networking events, sponsorship opportunities, and marketing avenues to help businesses connect and grow. It also provides resources like the Investor Directory and conference room rentals to support member businesses.
Workforce Development: Addressing workforce challenges, the Chamber implements programs focused on talent attraction, development, and retention. Initiatives include job postings, employer tours, and diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts to build a skilled and inclusive workforce.
Community Engagement
At the Chamber, being a true “Champion” for the community means showing up not just in times of celebration but especially when challenges arise. We believe in being a strong, reliable partner—stepping up during the COVID-19 pandemic to support businesses, participating in the HSHS/Prevea Task Force to help navigate the local healthcare crisis, and most recently, actively engaging in collaborative efforts to address complex issues like homelessness in Eau Claire. In every situation, we’re committed to leading with purpose, connection, and action.
Achievements
We’re proud to share that the Chamber was recently honored with the prestigious Regents Business Partnership Award by the Universities of Wisconsin Board of Regents—an exciting recognition of our collaborative spirit and meaningful contributions to the growth and vitality of our region. The award was formally presented to the Chamber at our Annual Meeting in January 2025, making the moment even more special as we celebrated alongside our investors, partners, and community leaders.
