Tuesday, many voters in Wisconsin voted for State Senate and Assembly representatives. State wide Republicans picked up a few seats, but not enough to gain a veto-proof supermajority in both the Senate and Assembly. The Assembly will remain under Republican control with a 64-35 majority. The Republicans picked up only three of the five seats needed to gain a supermajority. In the State Senate, Republicans picked up one seat to have a 22-11 supermajority.

State Senate District 23 – Jesse James (R)

State Senate District 31 – Jeff Smith (D-Incumbent)

Jeff Smith (D-Incumbent) – 38,915 (50.4%)
Dave Estemson – 38,237 (49.6%)

State Assembly District 67 – Rob Summerfield (R-Incumbent)

Rob Summerfield (R-Incumbent) – 16,878 (63%)
Jason Bennett (D) – 9,807 (37%)

State Assembly District 68 – Karen Hurd (R)

Karen Hurd (R) – 14,338 (61%)
Nate Otto (D) – 9,281 (39%)
