As a participating merchant, accepting Chamber Buy Local Bucks at your business not only benefits you but also hundreds of other local Chamber investor businesses throughout the Chippewa Valley.

What are Chamber Buy Local Bucks?

• "Chamber Buy Local Bucks" is gift certificate program sponsored by the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce that supports local Chamber investor businesses.  Over 300 area merchants participate in this program.

How do I accept Buy Local Bucks at my business?

• It's easy!  Buy Local Bucks are actual checks imprinted with routing and account numbers.  Simply stamp the back of the checks as you normally would and deposit them into your bank account.

What if the customer doesn't spend the entire amount of the check?

• Since the check is treated essentially like cash, you would give the amount not spent back to the customer as change.  You, as the merchant, will still receive the face value of the check.

Do Chamber Buy Local Bucks have an expiration date?

• Yes.  Buy Local Bucks expire 5 years from the date shown on the check.  If the check is older than 5 years, please instruct the customer to contact the Chamber to exchange the check.
